Paramount Skydance Will Cut Nearly 2,000 American Positions – News
Paramount Skydance will start significant workforce reductions beginning on 27 October, removing approximately 2,000 American roles as part of a expense reduction strategy totaling $2bn overseen by top executive David Ellison.
These job cuts come after the union of Skydance Media and Paramount Global, completed this past August valued at $8.4bn.
More global layoffs are expected, as the firm intending to disclose full details during its third-quarter financial update on 10 November.
Previous updates had indicated the company planned to cut between 2,000 and 3,000 roles before the start of November.
By December 2024, Paramount retained about 18,600 full- and part-time employees along with 3,500 project-based staff.
The organization has not yet commented to a request for comment.
