Trevoh Chalobah Expected to Take Over from Guehi in Three Lions National Team
Trevoh Chalobah followed his brother Nathaniel in playing for England, becoming the twenty-first duo of brothers to be selected for the national team.
Trevoh Chalobah is expected to be added to the Three Lions selection to replace unavailable Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi.
The 26-year-old footballer is set to link up with the team for England's last World Cup qualifying matches against Serbia and Albania, although it has still not been confirmed.
The national side have already secured qualification for next summer's tournament.
Chalobah was given his first selection under England head coach Thomas Tuchel in the month of May and then made his debut against the Senegalese team.
In September, Tuchel remarked Chalobah was unlucky to be left out from the squad for qualifiers against Andorra and Serbia, and additionally omitted him for the next October fixtures.
Tuchel has been an significant presence in Chalobah's career, having handed him his Chelsea first-team bow in the year 2021.
Chalobah has appeared in almost every matches for Chelsea in the current campaign, with the side occupying third spot in the Premier League, in the Carabao Cup quarter-finals and in the league phase of the Champions League.
Guehi suffered a foot injury in Crystal Palace's Europa Conference League victory over AZ Alkmaar recently.
There are likely to be further additions to the team. Newcastle manager Eddie Howe has confirmed that both attacker Anthony Gordon (hip injury) and goalkeeper Nick Pope (a concussion) will be unavailable from the national team.
